This integrated amplifier underscores its exceptional quality standards with a six-layer hand-lacquered surface with impressive aesthetics and a deep shine. But it is precisely the technology that makes the CS-150A something special. Selected Tung-Sol 6SN7GTB tubes are used for the input and driver stages. Four Tung-Sol KT150 or optionally four KT120 are used as high-performance power tubes. Voltage rectification is provided by an RCA 22DE4 NOS tube.

Three switches allow you to tune the sound according to your individual taste or to adapt it to your loudspeakers. This includes switching between triode and ultralinear operation. So you have the choice between delicate, detailed harmonies, fluid and holographic playback,   which is ideal for voices and stringed instruments. Or you can increase performance and dynamics with controlled bass reproduction in ultralinear operation. The output power is a tight 2 x 55 watts sinus in triode mode and increases to a remarkable 2 x 100 watts in ultralinear mode. This is an extreme power output for a thoroughbred tube amplifier.

That’s not all about customization. There is also a variable bias (high/standard) on the CS-150A: Round mids and bass characterize the “Bias high” position, precise musical structure the “Standard” position.

The adjustment possibilities are not yet exhausted: You can even choose the negative feedback in two stages. This allows for smooth, natural reproduction in the “Low” position, or tight and controlled in the “High” position.

Balanced XLR and unbalanced RCA inputs ensure maximum connectivity.

The broadband output transformers were specially wound and selected in pairs for the requirements of the CS-150A. A powerful toroidal transformer ensures a stable power supply, reduced output resistance and optimum performance.

The Cayin CS-150A also features careful point-to-point wiring with high-quality, shielded, silver-coated cables.

  The input selection memory function proves to be a convenience plus . After switching on, the last selected input is automatically activated.   A soft start circuit ensures optimal protection of the tubes used. The high-quality metal remote control provides access to the numerous functions of the Cayin CS-150A.
