Its push-pull ultralinear circuit uses four KT88 beam-power tetrodes to deliver stable performance. A double triode 5BK7A tube serves as input voltage amplifier. Two 5BK7A NOS driver tubes (Made in USA) are used to control the output tubes, which can be switched between triode and ultralinear operation. The user can therefore choose between a particularly balanced sound and twice the power output. The power supply for the three input driver tubes is rectified by a NOS US RCA 22DE4 rectifier tube.

With the bias display of the Cayin MT-50, the quiescent current can be fine-tuned using external controls. In addition to such features for purists, the freely wired, small, fine tube amplifier has a contemporary special feature: It not only accepts music signals via its solid, gold-plated analog cinch inputs, but also wirelessly via Bluetooth. This is not only practical for the convenient playback of playlists on the smartphone. It also sounds surprisingly good. For an affordable price there is hardly an amplifier that is so solidly built, can be used so flexibly and also combines digital wireless streaming with rich tube sound.
